In life, in humans, in objects, I'm trying to find  patterns and focus on them. Motif  repetition fascinates me, which is why I am attracted to fabrics, wallpapers, old-style tiled and wooden floors, as well as the aesthetic that characterizes the industrial objects of the 60s n 70s era, and in general anything with a consistent and repeating pattern.

Collage has always been my favorite technique. I'm thrilled by the aesthetic and the qualities that exist in  the art of "putting together".

My images are conceptualized mainly from the mystery sensation found in the stilted photographs taken in studios in the 30s -50s. My characters look at the camera and reveal their “inner soul”, the humanly common but at the same time great emotions. They are captured by the lens completely prepared and silent.

My need is to talk about feelings, dilemmas, pitfalls, surprises that overwhelm or illuminate various periods of my life. My difficulty to accept the complexity of circumstances and contradictions of life leads me to this illustration. An illustration of a personal confession exposed to the public. My intention is  to neither create "beauty" nor innovate but  enhance simplicity and affability.

I am the designer but the fabric underlines, challenges, derides, burdens, or unburden the first impression.. As  material  of everyday use it carries, in a way, something more sensual than its original nature. Something deeper related to the aesthetic of its origin and time, the moment you came across  it, the person who gave it to you, the way you felt when you got it, it’s previous use, the person who used to wear it and so much more. In other words, fabric "talks". I'm just trying to find the right place on the canvas so it can "speak" for myself.

Technically speaking, I try to sew fabrics carefully, with respect and integrity characterizing folk art. I'm seaming the hem to avoid fraying and create a neat and tidy artwork with the sense of "other times"-when time spent on small things was not considered  a waste and the conscientiousness for  details enliven everyday life.
